Vision

Our Vision is a vibrant community where all adults possess the functional literacy and essential skills necessary to participate to their full potential at home, at work and in their community.

Mission

Our Mission is to empower adults in our community to reach their full potential by providing the tools and programs to support functional literacy and essential skills learning. Our programs include upgrading in the essential skills of reading, writing, spelling, math, computers and English as a second language, as well as higher skills upgrading to prepare for Ontario Secondary School Diploma (O.S.S.D.), General Education Development (G.E.D.) and Academic and Career Entrance (A.C.E.). We also provide life and employment skills workshops.

Muskoka Literacy Council offers:

	No charge, confidential 1:1 or small group tutoring in reading, writing, spelling, math, computers
	GED preparation – Beyond LBS (literacy basic skills)
	ACE – academic upgrading at higher levels for college entry – Beyond LBS
	Computer training from basic to experienced
	Life skills
	Job readiness workshops
	Workplace workshops
