The individuals who work and learn at the Muskoka Literacy Council have the right to expect that details of their lives, learning and work will be kept confidential.

The individuals who work and learn at the Muskoka Literacy Council have the right to be treated with sensitivity, respect and kindness at all times.

 

bullet

The individuals who work and learn at the Muskoka Literacy Council have the right to have their concerns heard by a non-judgmental listener in privacy without concern that the information discussed will go further without their permission.

 

bullet

The individuals who work and learn at the Muskoka Literacy Council have the right to work and learn in a comfortable environment without worry of being sexually, physically or emotionally harassed.

 

bullet

The individuals who work and learn at the Muskoka Literacy Council have the right to speak openly and privately to their listener of choice about concerns regarding their work or learning.

 

bullet

The individuals who work and learn at the Muskoka Literacy Council have the right to address issues openly with the Program Coordinator or any member of the Board of Directors when they feel that their rights have been violated.

 

bullet

The individuals who work and learn at the Muskoka Literacy Council have the right to know that those violating these rights will be warned once of their inappropriate behavior.  A second offence will result in immediate removal from the Muskoka Literacy Council.
